CityFibre has allocated a community fund of up to £20,000, which a Hertfordshire‑based charity can benefit from this year.

CityFibre is the UK’s largest open‑access, fibre‑only broadband provider, investing in full‑fibre infrastructure across towns and cities nationwide. Its Community Fund supports digital inclusion, innovation and community engagement in areas where it operates, offering grants to projects that help bridge the digital divide, enhance digital literacy and address local needs.
While charities cannot apply for the funding directly, our Digital Hertfordshire programme is able to nominate organisations. The final recipient will be selected by a panel of local stakeholders, including representatives from CityFibre.

Nominations must be for registered Hertfordshire charities delivering a community project that achieves at least one of the following:

  • Improves health and wellbeing
  • Strengthens digital inclusion
  • Helps to tackle local inequalities

If you would like to put forward a charity, please email digitalherts@hertfordshire.gov.uk with your suggested organisation and a short explanation of how the project meets the criteria above.

Deadline for submissions: 27 February 2026.
