Hertfordshire Growth Hub approaches its 10th anniversary

The organisation had early celebrations at the flagship event ‘All the Help you can Get’ business support show on Friday, 6 December. The sell-out event featured a conference, a business exhibition with 17 exhibitors, and 6 mini-workshops, all reflecting the ecosystem and breadth of support available in Hertfordshire.

During its decade of delivery, the Growth Hub has supported over 14,000 businesses and helped to create 1,750 jobs. This was achieved during particularly turbulent times, including the UK’s departure from the EU, wars in central Europe, and a global pandemic.

In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Hertfordshire Growth Hub demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the local business community. Through the distribution of £291,000 in Covid-19 recovery grants, the Growth Hub supported 82 businesses, resulting in the creation of 62 new jobs and the safeguarding of 221 existing jobs. These efforts have provided a crucial lifeline to businesses navigating the challenges posed by the pandemic.

The Growth Hub’s extensive network, comprising 150+ business support partners, has been instrumental in delivering tailored assistance to a diverse range of enterprises. This collaborative ecosystem ensures that businesses receive the guidance and resources they need to thrive.

As we look ahead, the Hertfordshire Growth Hub remains dedicated to driving innovation, supporting sustainable growth, and enhancing the economic vitality of our region. With a proven track record of success, the Hub is poised to continue making a significant impact on the Hertfordshire business landscape.
