An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Hertfordshire LEP team. We're seeking an Inward Investment Manager to position Hertfordshire as a key contributor to UK’s high-growth ecosystem by setting the county’s inward investment and foreign direct investment (FDI) strategy.

This is a role shared between Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership and Herts IQ. The role sits within the Partnerships and Communications function and will also align with the work of the LEP’s sector focused teams and wider economic strategy.
The Inward Investment Manager will liaise directly with foreign and UK investors, developers, landowners and businesses, and advise Hertfordshire Growth Board and district Directors of Place on how to stimulate further economic growth.
The role will require exceptional leadership skills to drive all inward investment activity. As the key lead expert, they must demonstrate capability to build strong external relationships that will influence senior business leaders and CEOs of foreign-owned and UK based companies and the credibility to advise senior local government officials, CEOs and Leaders on complex economic issues. The post holder will be the central conduit for all inward investment activity, dealing with enquiries and channels of communication to and from Government departments such as Department for Trade and Industry and Office for Investment.
To be considered for this role candidates need to be professionally qualified with degree or equivalent with substantial experience; have strong political and commercial acumen and have highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills. You must also have a deep and broad understanding of the sector and wider political picture and experience of leading diverse project teams, coaching and mentoring
