Join us for a morning of insight and opportunity as we explore how Hertfordshire’s thriving film & TV sector is driving sustainable growth - and how your business could be part of it.

Hertfordshire has firmly established itself as the global centre for film and screen industries, surpassing Los Angeles in production activity. The region's screen industry is both historically and globally significant, with Elstree Film Studios celebrating its centenary this year. Iconic films such as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, The Muppet Show, and The Shining were produced here, alongside the latest blockbusters including Wicked and Barbie at Sky Studios Elstree.

Film and TV production relies on a broad supply chain - from construction and catering, to tech, logistics, and creative services. This event will show Hertfordshire businesses how they can connect with, diversify, and supply to the industry.

Create Growth is a national programme, led by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) in partnership with Innovate UK. Hertfordshire Futures secured this programme to enable high-growth potential SMEs to benefit from the opportunities provided by the county's booming Film & TV industry.

Since April 2024, the Create Growth Programme in Hertfordshire has supported over 60 local businesses from a wide range of sectors including health and wellbeing, floristry, audio-visual event production, marketing, animation, professional services, catering and technology.

The programme's package of support has helped businesses that are new to the sector, as well as existing suppliers who are looking to increase sales, commercialise their offer and become investment ready.
