Device Donation Scheme

Donate unused devices to help change a life.

About the scheme

To help tackle digital exclusion, Digital Hertfordshire has launched the Device Donation Scheme in partnership with BornGood CIC, specialists in the secure wiping and refurbishment of technology. Refurbished devices will be distributed to digitally excluded residents across Hertfordshire.

Why donate?

By donating devices, your organisation can:

  • Help local residents access essential online services, education and employment opportunities.
  • Support digital inclusion across Hertfordshire.
  • Reduce electronic waste and promote the reuse of technology.
  • Contribute towards your environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals.
  • Demonstrate social value and community impact.
  • Provide meaningful evidence for sustainability and CSR reporting.

Types of devices we accept

We are particularly looking for surplus business grade devices that are less than seven years old and still have useful life remaining including:
  • Laptops
  • Tablets
  • Mobile phones

What happens to donated devices?

All donated equipment will be:

  • Collected free of charge
  • Securely wiped (certified ITAD)
  • Professionally refurbished and fully tested
  • Redistributed through local community programmes to residents experiencing digital exclusion
  • Ethically recycled if it is not suitable for reuse

Donate today

If your organisation has devices available for donation, we'd love to hear from you.
